I support this project. I can see the blighted area every day from our apartment, and much of it has been abandoned for *27 years*. Numerous proposals have been rejected in that time whether for financing issues or design or other concerns-- it is time to say yes to one. First and foremost, Haverhill needs more housing. Citizens and politicians complain about the lack of housing every day, and talk about it as a number one priority-- supporting this project and moving forward on this space after decades of inaction turns talk into action. Haverhill needs more revenue, for schools (as a Haverhill public school parent, a big priority for me) and other infrastructure. In addition to the sale of the property itself, this will spur more commercial activity in Bradford and downtown, with $19 million in projected tax revenue. Then there are the millions in developer-paid public recreation amenities (a playground for a section of Bradford that does not have one, an amphitheater for a city that needs more outdoor art and culture, kayaking, rail trail extension) and clean up, and $2 million in grant revenue to fix an intersection that is dangerous to me and our family walking or driving every single day and that is a traffic mess-- the one thing I think every person who lives in Haverhill can agree with! The lack of new affordable housing is the one problem I have with this project. However, the Council has the opportunity to redevelop the acres of downtown Goecke parking deck and surrounding space with mixed use buildings containing hundreds more units of market rate and 20%+ affordable housing, aligned with the Master Plan and the Utile study from several years ago. I believe these two potential "flagship" redevelopment efforts-- this Ornstein redevelopment for Bradford, and the Goecke redevelopment for eastern downtown, would complement each other and serve Haverhill very well.

This area is already on the economic rise due to new developments along the river and this particular project, I feel, is the next step to the necessary turn around this area has needed. The details in this particular project (ie the amphitheater, park, and stores) would be a nice addition and go a long way cleaning up the area. It will get people outside and be able to safely interact. With the projects the city has already approved on, this should be a no-brainer. Please vote yes and continue to embrace the spirit of Massachusetts.

Having worked in Haverhill on Washington Street with a view of the riverfront/site for the project, I think it would be a so wonderful for the people and surrounding communities of Haverhill/Bradford. I grew up in the Merrimack Valley and the riverfront (to me) has always been such an underutilized asset for the people and neighbors surrounding it. People love to live and be by the water.

I used to work in and around the Haverhill area. This projects looks to be a beautiful addition to the city. It appears to give a great balance of housing and commercial space as well as recreational areas for residents.

With the current housing shortage this is exactly the area and style home i have been hoping to find. Includes a beautiful park along the Merrimack with a dog park?! Im sold! A chance to revitalize the area with a project of this caliber is a no brainer.

My wife and I have been really enjoying the revitalization as of late in Haverhill. We are foodies and enjoy the restaurants and cafes in downtown. We will be empty nesters soon and have been toying with the idea of selling our home in the current market and renting in Haverhill. This project is exactly what we’re looking for. My hats off to the city council and government officials that have continued this exciting vision. To be able to live on the river, with so many amenities and outdoor space with in walking distance to downtown and be able to walk across the street to jump on the train for a day or evening in Boston excites us to know end. Let us know how to reserve one of these units! Cheers to Haverhill’s continued success!

If this project is as beautiful and functional as projects such as Harbor Place it will be a much needed and valuable enhancement to Haverhill's precious waterfront.

This is a no brainer. My family fully supports this project and the vast benefits it will bring. It will aid in resolving traffic, cutting down on a carbon footprint, and offer a place for a community to flourish.

This project will be good for the city. It will bring revenue, jobs and spruce up the area. I have lived here for the last seven years and there have been many changes during that time just in the downtown area alone. This is another one of those projects that will make Haverhill a better nicer place to live.

What a fantastic addition this will be to the community! To revitalize a community you need to develop quality housing with tremendous amenities for the community and for the residents who will call Haverhill their home and this project meets and exceeds this. Appears the developer has addressed all concerns people had including the most common concern of traffic. There has been so many positive additions to this area and this would help continue putting Haverhill on the map as one of the hottest areas to live and work! Dont let this one slip away, especially in a pandemic and a massive housing shortage.

Haverhill has been up and coming for the past several years, what better way to keep the momentum going with this development! I've been a resident for about 20 yrs and love the direction the city has been going, can't wait to see what the future holds.

Hi, I am Haverhill resident and will love to spend the rest of my life here. Why should we go somewhere else when we can develop our own city and have it right in our backyard? I will love to see our city positively develop and be the place where everyone will love to be. The city has much to offer but it is limited. I am convinced that by having more infrastructure, the city will be a place for peace and beautiful seeing. This project has convinced me that it no only make the water front beautiful but also more attractive.

Former Haverhill resident and current frequent visitor. This project will be amazing! Personally knowing one of the families working this, they (certainly) have the community's, as well as upcoming residents/students in mind! This will help Haverhill continue to rise and assist the economy within the city. A sure bet in my book!

This looks like an incredible project on a very underused piece of the riverfront. The city will benefit from the increased taxes, new housing supply, brand new park space and new residents that will get to call Haverhill home and support the local businesses. The intersection improvements along with the project being next to the train will go a long way to improve traffic as well. Seems like a win for all !

This looks like an excellent project that will re-activate the community and address the overall lack of quality housing options. The residential buildings, coupled with a new park, will attract young professionals and families alike who are looking for quality housing and expansive outdoor space on the water.

I support this project on the Riverfront and look forward to it being built. It would allow us to enjoy the Merrimac River that has been under utilized all these years. I hope the council votes in favor of this project.

I’m a pass resident of Haverhill 15 years and raised my 3 boys here. I fell in love with the town I got involved with the chamber and now I’m a realtor for over 15 years and I love selling homes in this area. I think this new development is amazing and it could bring revenue to the town jobs to the town and bring Bradford to the next level as it needs to come back. This complex is so beautiful and the money that they will put into Will only bring positive to the city of Haverhill. We are so lucky to have this Come to the city. I plan to come and bring my grandchildren to play and to use the amenities it sounds so exciting. To resolve the traffic and make it look beauty is great!!! This will bring new residents to town less cars I’m sure they’ll be on the train and off to Boston. Positive for it hope it wins the votes. Great all around.

As a 40 year resident of Haverhill I'm very excited to see downtown area trying to bring in more residents and retail space, which will inevitably build up the customer base to help support all our great restaurants and shops. I have also seen the final results of projects completed by the PROCOPIO Company and they are amazing. They are a company focused on fitting into the community they are developing. I have been a supporter of Mayor Fiorentini for many years. He has changed the face of our down town area in many ways. I urge him to add this to the list of his wins!! Great project with one of the top companies in the business(PROCOPIO).

Finally a solution to the traffic flow. To me this is one of the highlights of the project. The city was awarded a $3million grant to improve the traffic if this development is approved. Super excited as Haverhill continues to grow into the future, adding much needed housing and open space while upgrading the antiquated infrastructure. I urge all of my Haverhill and especially Bradford residents to speak with their councilors to approve this much needed opportunity. If they vote no to this project the $3million grant goes away. Let’s not go backwards. Haverhill is worth it!

This project looks incredible and is way overdue and much needed. The reconstruction of the roads which have been an absolute mess in my 25+ years in the City. Economic relief for the City for the roads which only happens if the project happens to me is a no brained and someone else is paying for that incredible waterfront park. Bradford gets a big boost and needed cache. It’s a win win for all and for the first time Bradford residents can safely access the waterfront, a waterfront park paid for by private business and the positive impact to local businesses, seems to be such a win win, any community would love to have this opportunity. My hats off to the the Mayor and everyone involved in this to see this through to this point during a Global pandemic. They are true servants of the community.and with all they have going on, they should be commended for continuing to steer the ship and keeping Haverhill moving forward into the future during these unprecedented times. My wife and I raised our 3 boys in Haverhill, my office is in the City and the Future is Now for Haverhill. #HaverhillOnTheMove

This revitalization is exactly what our city needs. Property values are already skyrocketing but the quality of many of the current properties remains the same. We need to meet the new standard and make the necessary changes to make the area more fashion forward and beautiful. I can't wait to see this project come to fruition as it will help reiterate the new city standard.

The City of Haverhill over the past years has been working with various groups especially along the River and RT 125. This has allowed the area to be modernized and also welcome additional commerce. To allow the special project which is proposed at 0 Rail Road Street, would again benefit the city with additional retail commerce and residential units as well.

That area of Bradford always felt so cold and in need of help. So glad a project like this is possible. Would absolutely love a safe Waterfront park to bring my 9 month old to when visiting friends and my Godson who live only a few blocks away. Looking forward to what else is going to happen there. Hopefully a great restaurant?! So excited to see such a beautiful change happen in an area of town that so desperately needed it. Haverhill has changed so much since when I was a kid, when I lived on Savage st; all good changes. Excited for the future of Haverhill (and Bradford).

What an incredible project. Finally a wonderful vision applied to the former ornsteen heel property. I am excited for the new business this will create downtown and the opportunity to add much needed housing. I attended the community meeting and I was absolutely blown away. Haverhill deserves this. Kudos to the City council, mayor, office of economic development, The Procopio’s and the chamber of commerce for such a spectacular vision.
